About us

I am Maria and I will be happy to host you in our marvellous piece of Heaven. I’ll gladly share with you my favourite places, tips and experiences so as to make the most out of your stay.   My family and I fell in love with this place some years ago, so much that we decided to make it ours. We have worked hard to improve it and now it’s our pleasure to share it with you.

  • Very beautiful historic B&B country house near Florence with really nice hosts

    Great historical country house with large garden and pool in a very quiet rural area and only half an hour from Florence city center and Florence airport. Stylishly furnished rooms and very nice hosts who read our every wish from our eyes. In the evening there were spontaneous BBQs from the grill under the starry sky. Just beautiful. The family with the small children speaks English, Italian, Spanish and German. We will be back definitely.

  • We have walked the path of the gods

    We have walked the path of the gods. After a busy day we found a welcoming place with a swimming pool and a very helpful owner. It is about 1.5 km from the exit of the path but easy to find and in a quiet area. In the evening they offered to go and get us pizzas so we could dine in the garden.

  • Pure relaxation

    Starting with the very nice hosts, you felt right at home. The location is about 30 minutes from Florence, wonderfully located in the countryside. Everything was very neat and clean and it was a very restful night in the room. The breakfast was very varied. In the huge garden there is another pool, where it is worth swimming a few laps. I can only recommend everyone to take a break here. I will definitely come back again, then a bit longer.

Peaceful and beautiful typical Tuscan house surrounded by nature but just 30 minutes away from the center of Florence. The house can accommodate up to 15 people in it’s 7 bedrooms, all of which have a private bathroom. We serve a hearty breakfast in our common area where you can also relax, have a cup of coffee or a nice glass of wine. The house has a swimming pool and a very big garden, with an area to play football. The summer nights are particularly exquisite in the gallery and in winter you can relax next to the stove.

Explore the Area

The house is located 30 min away from the city center of Florence. We are surrounded by nature so we suggest a car (or a bike) to get around. There are some very good restaurants in the area, famous for their typical Tuscan cuisine and wine.

There’s also a bus stop 50 mts away from the house that brings you directly to the city center. It is always better to check it´s schedule in advance!

There are other attractions in the area whether you feel like walking, shopping or just chilling. The Barberino Outlet is 30 min away, the Convento di Montesenario 10 min away (or 90 min walking) and the Asmana wellness world  around 45 min. You can also visit the city of Fiesole with its beautiful Roman theatre, only 15 minutes away and the Parco Mediceo di Pratolino (where you can enjoy beautiful sights and make long walks), 10 minutes away.

Via degli Dei

Casa Palmira is just about 1 km away from the Vetta le Croci, the last stop before arriving in Florence.  Therefore, we receive a great amount of brave guests who are on the way to finishing this adventure.
It is a peaceful and replenishing stop where after a warm shower you can relax in our garden, jump into the pool (or sit by the fire) or just give your legs a rest in bed. The next morning a hearty breakfast will give you all the energy you need to move on to your final destination!

If needed (and with previous booking) we offer pick up service and the possibility to have dinner at our place. Do not hesitate to contact us for further information!
